The centerpiece of the new play space is a custom paddle-wheel boat play structure, the USS Richland, designed and built by GameTime to reflect the city’s connection to the Columbia River.

This themed structure captures the look and feel of a riverboat while providing exciting play opportunities for children of all ages. From climbing decks and slides to imaginative play panels, the USS Richland invites children to step aboard, take the helm, and create their own river adventures.

Custom Design with Community Character

GameTime’s Landmark Design™ team created the USS Richland as a one-of-a-kind play experience. Inspired by riverboats that travel the Columbia, the structure includes details like paddle wheels and lookout points to spark creativity and role play. Children can climb, balance, and slide while imagining themselves as captains, crew, or passengers on a great river journey.
