Struthers Recreation is proud to share the new Acadian Elementary Pre-K playground, located in Houma, Louisiana. Designed with early learners in mind, this custom playground installation provides a safe and developmentally supportive environment for children ages 2–5.

Designed for Preschool Play and Development

At the heart of this outdoor space is the Coghill Play Structure, a GameTime Primetime system tailored specifically for early childhood playground equipment needs. This preschool-focused unit includes:

• A driver’s panel for imaginative role play

• Thunderring panel and ridge climber to encourage movement and exploration

• Wave climber, two slides, and a crawl tube to develop gross motor skills

This carefully selected play system supports balance and coordination while giving toddlers and young children space to climb, slide, and discover.

Sensory and Inclusive Play Features

To further enrich the play experience, the playground also includes the Play Pals Reptile Play Center, an interactive sensory element that promotes:

• Tactile and visual sensory exploration

• Spatial awareness and physical development

• Creativity, collaboration, and teamwork through imaginative play

These features make the Acadian Elementary playground not just fun, but a space where young children can grow physically, socially, and emotionally.
