As Struthers Recreation rapidly grows we are seeking new team members to compliment our current staff of talented professionals in the recreation industry. See openings below.
Project Designer
The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with the Project Managers and design team to create thoughtful designs and technical proposals to meet the needs of our customers while staying within the parameters of various guidelines related to recreational projects.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Working closely with the Project Managers to create playground/park designs
- Creating plan views, renderings, and quotes for project proposals
- Provide inside sales support
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines at any given time
- Review bid documents and plans to prepare complete bid packages
- Utilize project management software
- Prepare and deliver project specific submittal information to landscape architects and general contractors
- Work closely with multiple vendors and suppliers
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Adobe Programs
- Although not required, AutoDesk skills are a plus
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering programs a plus
- Must embrace teamwork while being able to work independently

Working for Struthers Recreation has been an amazing journey thus far. I am currently in my tenth year as a project designer and every day brings with it a new experience. As a project designer, my days are filled with new challenges and although similar, no two projects are ever the same. With each new project, I am offered an opportunity to grow as a creative individual both professionally and personally. Struthers Recreation is a fun and energetic place to work and the passion we all have is infectious. We create spaces for children to play every day! I often find myself saying " I can't believe this is my job". I am thankful to be able to honestly say that I truly love my job, the people I work with, and the space I work in!
