Phenix City Miracle Field Creates a Place Where Everyone Can Play

There’s something special about seeing a recreation project come together—and the new Phenix City Miracle Field in Phenix City, Alabama, is a great example.

This new baseball field was designed with inclusive recreation in mind, giving individuals of all abilities a place to enjoy America’s favorite pastime. The specialized synthetic turf provides a smooth, consistent playing surface that helps make the field more accessible for players who may have difficulty navigating a traditional grass or dirt baseball field.

The bright red and green field really stands out, too! Covered areas along the field provide shade for players and spectators, while the surrounding fencing and dugout areas give the space the familiar feel of a traditional baseball facility.

But a Miracle Field is about more than just the field itself. Accessible recreation spaces create opportunities for people to participate, connect with others, build confidence, and simply have fun. When communities make recreation more inclusive, everyone benefits.
