Decatur Rec Center

A new chapter in recreation has officially opened in Decatur!

The new Decatur Recreation Center in Decatur, AL, officially opened this week, bringing a new place for the community to gather, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors.

We’re excited to see the new NDS Inclusive Play designated playground become part of this incredible new recreation space. With a variety of play experiences, freestanding elements, shade, and opportunities for kids of different abilities to play alongside one another, the playground was designed to be a place where more children can enjoy being active and having fun.

Projects like this are exciting because they’re about more than just a new playground. They’re about creating spaces where families can spend time together, communities can connect, and kids have room to play, explore, and challenge themselves.

Congratulations to the City of Decatur and Decatur Parks & Recreation on the opening of this new community resource. We’re proud to have been a part of it!
